Last night a couple of friends and I decided to try a new place.  We are so used to the usuals that we craved something different.  We decided on Mizu.   From the outside, Mizu might not look like much. As soon as you walk in though, you will notice the colored lighting in the dining area  – blue, red, green and other colors cycle through giving the place an interesting atmosphere that’s way more stylish than expected.  It felt like a place you would go to in the city, yet you were in the middle of Little Falls.  The food is pricey, but it’s quality stuff. They specialize in Asian “fusion” type foods and most of their specialties reflect that. The service was very good with prompt response and attentive servers.  The place can get a bit pricey, especially if you ordered appetizers, drinks, entrees and desserts like we did.  We highly recommend that you try their signature drinks.  Each one of us tried one and all were delicious.

Some of the dishes we tried:

Winter of Sea – Seared cod fish with lobster meat served with vegetable and beer sauce

Yaki Udon – Shrimp stir fried noodles with mixed vegetables

Angry Dragon Roll – Shrimp tempura, papaya & spicy tuna topped with spicy kind crab served in orange edamane sauce

** This also covers #81. Try 3 drinks I’ve never had before (1/3) and #93. Try 5 new restaurants (1/5) of my 101 in 1001.
