Today’s Wine: Goose Watch – Red Fox

K and I are avid wine drinkers.  We love having a good bottle with friends, family or just when we are having a party for two.  We are always interested in wines from others countries but also the ones that are in right in our own backyard.  Below is a wine from The Finger Lakes in Upstate NY.

Todays selection:

Goose Watch – Red Fox

This spicy, sweet red wine is made from a blend of grapes that used to be called “fox” grapes. It is a fresh tasting easy to drink sweeter red wine that finishes smooth.

Goose Watch specializes in truly unique premium wine. Their wines are produced from classic European grape varieties such as Pinot Grigio, Viognier, Lemberger and Merlot.  They have one of the loveliest views of Cayuga Lake from their tasting room, situated in a beautifully restored century-old barn nestled within one of the area’s only commercial chestnut groves.

Varietal: Merlot
Region: New York State
Producer: Goose Watch
Sells for approximately $11 a bottle.
