Oh la la la la!

89. Find a new musical artist to add to my list of music every day for a month (1/30)

When I was in my twenties I was all about music. Everything that I remember from those years has a song to go along with it. When the song comes on the radio or on my iPod I am instantly taken back. I tell my husband stories he has never heard when a song comes on. I also repeatedly tell him stories that he does know. Sometimes he laughs at me when a certain song comes on. Knowing I am going to tell him another…

There are also songs that bring us both back as a couple. Songs that are so perfectly “us” or so perfectly our friends. “Remember when” always comes along…

So when I came across Maggie’s Mighty List and her quest to learn a 1,000 new songs I knew I had to add something similar to my 101 in 1001 List. I am in love with learning new songs and I just know that new memories will come with each and every one of them. I started with a low number (30) because I have so many other things on my list I would like to do. If I decided later to up the number…well that would be just dandy!

The first song that K and I came across was “Paris (Ooh La La)” by Grace Potter & The Nocturnals. We were on a drive to a random place (which we often do on Wednesday’s for the fun of it) when this song came on the radio. The dj talked about how he wanted to play something new for us and that he had never played this song on the radio before. He loved the song and thought we would too.

We did!  Hope you love it too!

** If you are interested in sending me new music please do!! Just add a comment and I will check them out. I am always on the look out for new tunes!
